Core Service Review Timeline

Many cuts to child care services under consideration…

July 20: Community Development & Recreation Committee to make decisions of which cuts to present to Executive Committee.

July 21 – September 13: CDR sub-committee will host four public hearings. Dates and times to be announced. More information below.

September 14: Community Development & Recreation Committee to once again make decisions of which cuts to present to Executive Committee based on the sub-committees report.

September 19: Executive Committee to review Core Service recommendations

Deputations:

There are opportunities all through this process for the public to depute the proposals. Every meeting should be packed with concerned citizens deputing these proposed cuts to child care services!!

We’re hopeful that with the support of the public, the Executive Committee won’t find any recommendations for cuts to child care services in their September 19th meeting.

The sub-committee will be reviewing the City Managers report on the Core Service Review and the User Fee Review as well as service efficiency studies. We will release this information once it is available as well as when the public hearings will take place.

Stay tuned!
